生機蓬勃 “英”你而精彩

近日，合肥世界外國語學校小學精品班迎來了一年一度的英語節。本次英語節主題為“學習英語 熱愛生活”，學生們身著色彩繽紛的服裝，盡情施展自己的才華，歡聲笑語充滿了整個會場。

Bright lights, students in their colorful cheering and singing attire, excited and jovial encounters filled the school’s theatre as HWFLS Elite Primary Division celebrated its 4th Annual English Festival.

主持人Miss Winnie和Miss Yuna致歡迎辭，活動緩緩拉開帷幕。

The program started with the welcome address of Miss Winnie and Miss Yuna, the emcees of the event.

看！一至六年級學生的啦啦操表演來了！本次表演的主題是《野生動物》?；顒又校堪噙x擇一種野生動物作為班級代表，結合該動物的特點，全班成員參與節目表演。學生們在學習相關知識的同時，也更加懂得要關愛野生動物，關愛生命。除啦啦操表演之外，還有詩歌朗誦、主題歌曲表演和繞口令游戲等。

Then, came the cheering and chants of students from Grade 1 to Grade 6 with poem recitals, The Sound of Music songs and tongue twisters in between. The theme of cheering and chant is wild animals, which is one of the learning topics this semester. Every class chose a wild animal to represent their class and incorporated the features and characteristics of their chosen animal into their performance. All students enthusiastically joined in the activity. With this theme, not only did students gain relevant knowledge about these animals, but also learned how to help and protect wildlife.

為了給活動增添更多的歡樂，老師們也為大家展示了在舞蹈方面的才藝。師生們熱情參與，盡情享受著施展才華的過程，真是令人著迷。

Adding merriment to the event, teachers also gave students a glimpse of their talents in cheering and dancing. It was truly fascinating to witness students and teachers’ fervent participation as they exhibit their talents and skills with confidence and sheer enjoyment.

當學生與同伴一起互相鼓掌歡呼時，他們會建立起友誼，并激發自己的同理心和其他積極情緒。這對于師生們來說，無疑又是一次奇妙的學習和成長經歷。

When students clap and cheer with and for their peers, they build camaraderie, inspire empathy and other positive feelings. Indeed, it was undoubtedly another amazing learning and growth experience for the teachers and students.

精彩紛呈的英語節活動提高了學生的語言能力，增強了他們的自信心，滿足了他們在情感領域的需求。在活動中，學生們豐富了知識，開闊了眼界，享受了英語學習所帶來的樂趣。

Hence, to improve students’ English language abilities, develop their confidence, foster a sense of camaraderie and united as one encapsulate the English festival program. With its many wonderful performances, this annual activity showcased the efforts and dedication of both teachers and students to create abundant opportunities for English learning and gave students a chance to improve their language abilities by using it on stage. In addition, this event was about having fun with English learning, invigorating and harnessing better student engagement and nurturing their affective domain which is as important as strengthening their cognitive domain of learning.
